The problem we often face in life is we get stuck. We get stuck in our comfort zones and forget to live life. Too often I see people blankly stare at their computer screens or walk mindlessly through a grocery store. If you’re reading this you’re probably like me. You’re different.
Over the next couple of weeks, I will list the steps I am taking to push past my comfort zone. The first step is to:
Create a Major Goal
A major goal can be to complete a marathon, travel to foreign country, or act in a play. The goal must resonate with you. The influence of others will not help you complete your goal. It must be your own goal. Let’s breakdown the goal into Specific, Measurable, Action-Orientated, Rewarding and Trackable. I will use my own goal as an example.
“ I want to display 10 pieces in an art gallery.“
Specific: 10 acrylic paintings displayed in an art gallery.
Measurable:It takes me two weeks to finish one painting.
I have two paintings so far. I can complete my goal by August.
Action-Orientated: I would needs to discipline myself to paint everyday until August.
Rewarding: In the book 7 Habits of Highly Effective People they say to visualize the end goal.
To me imagining people gathering around my work makes it rewarding.
Trackable: Every two weeks I’ll have one work completed. By August all 10 pieces will be done.
When you set a goal make it S.M.A.R.T. Leave a comment below and tell me what you hope to accomplish in the next 7 months!
Summer is over and now we are into the first week of Fall. Fall is my favorite season, the autumn leaves the hot cocoa, mittens and cinnamon candles. This year has brought new and talented artist. Below I have listed artist I’ve added to my playlist.
Billie Ellish, 15-year-old Los Angles native released a killer album this year. The albums name is Don’t Smile at Me. The title perfectly sums up her playful mischievous attitude. My favorite songs on the album are Bellyache and watch.
Next is Ruth B. A former Viner, she posted short videos of her singing. I fell in love with Ruth’s song of superficial love. The song’s name is actually Superficial Love.
Baby if you want me, then you better need me
. ‘Cause I’m so done, not being your number one
The final talented lady is Halsey. Halsey has a bad girl new york swag. I loved her release of Bad At Love. She goes through her relationships and why they didn’t work out. It’s not her fault she’s bad at love and she’s not going to pretend you’re the one.
was on America’s Got Talent when she revealed to the world her majestic voice. After America’s Got Talent, Grace has sold out nearly every show.
Grace has the voice of an old Blues singer. She is only 13 and still has a lot of maturing to do as an artist. She possesses the talent needed to make her a Billboard Top Artist but often with fame at a young age, addiction becomes a problem. I hope this doesn’t happen to her.
Grace a talented young girl from Kansas thrown into the limelight by a talent show. That would be a movie I’d watch!
My second most recent post was about my
FAVORITE pair of sunglasses. I got these sunglasses from LOFT not too long ago. There like a rose-mirrored tint. I was going to the grocery store for sweet potatoes and wanted to take a selfie. They just scream fabulous every time I put them on.
I love Instagram because you can say a million thing with a picture. My account is
fairly new and goes along with my blog and personal life.
I was walking to the convenience store when I hear a honk and a “hey babe.’
I look over my shoulder to see a man with only gums waving at me from in 1995
Ford Lincoln. I was disgusted.
The next day at work I met a HANDSOME guy, 27 years old with the body of
Tarzan. I said ‘hey,’ and he introduced himself. Let’s just call him Tarzan, to save me the embarrassment if anyone I know comes across this.
For the next hour we stood there in silence. I don’t know what is going on with millennial men but dating is difficult. It seems like forward, assertive women are favorable. The girls that speak over people and wants everyone to see them.
Meanwhile, girls, like me, that enjoy a bubble bath and a good book are looked over. In response to that people often say young men want what’s fun and fast. I don’t think that is entirely true. In the case of “Tarzan” could it be the assertive women are the only one’s that show enough interest in them.?
They go with the obvious choice?
I know I’ll never be a becky, I will aways be a Badu. My hope for this post is for guys to try a little harder. Maybe a casual smile or offering to help her carry something. There are women looking for love outside the club. Seriously everyone doesn’t like to drink.
